As the season of giving and gratitude arrives, we’re honored to announce the 5th Annual Bringing Them Home Fundraising Campaign—our most meaningful tradition and one that lies at the heart of the Ben Jackson Foundation’s mission.
Each year, this campaign reminds us why we do what we do: to make it possible for young military service members to come home for a visit with the people who love them most. For many, it’s their first time away—sometimes across the country or halfway around the world—and a visit home can make all the difference.
The Heart of Home for the Holidays
While our work continues year-round, the holiday season holds special significance. It’s a time when families gather, memories are made, and being together matters most. But for those serving in the U.S. Armed Forces—especially those newly stationed away from home—travel costs often make returning impossible.
That’s where you come in.
Through your generosity, the Ben Jackson Foundation provides Ticket Home Awards—grants that cover travel expenses for young service members, helping bridge the distance between duty and home. Every donation helps turn longing into laughter, homesickness into homecoming, and separation into togetherness.
A New Goal for a New Year of Giving
This year, we’ve set an ambitious goal: to raise $35,000 throughout the campaign. With your help, these funds will allow us to award even more Ticket Home Awards—not only during the holidays but throughout the entire year.
Last year, thanks to the incredible kindness of our supporters, we raised over $31,000 and provided 42 Ticket Home Awards. Each one represented a story of joy, gratitude, and reconnection—a young airman surprising his family at a family gathering, a sailor’s first Christmas home in years, a soldier’s reunion with loved ones after basic training.
